Sets
Two
character
sets
are
active
at
any
given
time.
They
are
named
GO
and
Gl.
At
power
up,
both
are
set
to
the
United
States
charac
ter
se
t.
GO
is
assigned
one
of
the
following
character
sets
when
the
sequence
ESC(

and

is
received;

is
assigned
one
of
the
following
character
sets
when
the

downloaded
to

terminal.
Each
of
these
downloads
is
done
through
the
use
of
escape
sequences
which
are
described
in
the
following
paragraphs.
