Dial, delete or edit directory entries
Edit a directory entry
1. When a directory entry displays, press
MENU/SELECT. The screen shows EDIT NUMBER
along with the phone number to be edited. If you
only want to edit the name, skip to Step 3.
2. To edit the number:
f Press the dialing keys to add digits.
f Press qCID or pDIR to move the cursor to the
f Press MUTE/DELETE to erase a digit.
f Press and hold MUTE/DELETE to erase
all digits.
f Press and hold REDIAL/PAUSE to add a
three-second dialing pause (a p appears).
3. Press MENU/SELECT to move on to the name.
The screen shows EDIT NAME along with the
name to be edited.
4. To edit the name:
f Press the dialing keys to add characters (page 54).
f Press qCID or pDIR
f Press 0 to add a space.
f Press MUTE/DELETE to erase a character.
f Press and hold MUTE/DELETE to erase all characters.
f Press TONE to change the next letter to upper or lower case.
5. Press MENU/SELECT
tone and the screen shows Saved to directory.
Note: If the telephone number has more than 11 digits, EDIT NUMBER will not be displayed on
the screen.
