Telephone base settings
Dial mode
The dial mode is preset to tone dialing. If you have pulse (rotary) service, you
must change the dial mode to pulse dialing before using the telephone.
To set the dial mode:
1. Press MENU on the telephone base in idle mode to enter the main menu.
2. Press or to scroll to the next page, and then press the Settings
smart key to enter.

3. Press Dial mode .
4. Select between Touch-tone and Pulse, and then press Yes to
conrm or press No to return to previous page.
Note: If you have dial pulse (rotary) dialing service only, refer to Temporary tone dialing (page 69) to
temporarily switch from pulse to touch-tone dialing during a call.
