Message playback
Message playback
If you have new messages, the telephone plays only the new messages 
(oldest first). If there are no new messages, the telephone plays back all 
messages (oldest first).
When playback begins, the total number of messages is announced. Before 
each message, you hear the day and time of the recording. If the date and 
time are not set, you hear, “Time and date not set,” before playback. After the 
last message, the telephone announces, “End of messages.”
To listen to messages at the telephone base:
1. Press  /MAIL BOX 1 for line 1 or  /MAIL BOX 2 for 
line 2 to listen to messages. 
  Options during playback:
Press  /VOLUME/  to adjust the speaker volume.
Press  /SKIP to skip to the next message.
Press  /REPEAT to repeat the message currently playing. Press           
/REPEAT twice to listen to the previous message.
Press X/DELETE to delete the current message. The system advances to 
the next message.
Press  /MAIL BOX 1 for line 1 or  /MAIL BOX 2 for line 2 to stop 
listening to messages.
Press CANCEL to exit to the previous menu.
To listen to messages on the handset:
1. Press the MENU soft key when the handset is not in use.
2. Press the SELECT soft key to select ANSWERING SYS.  
3. Press 
qCID or pDIR
 to choose Mailbox 1 or Mailbox 2. Press the SELECT 
soft key.
4. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to Play messages, then press the SELECT 
soft key.
  Options during playback:
Press  /VOLUME/  to adjust the speaker volume.
Press 6 to skip to the next message.
Press 4 to repeat the message currently playing. Press 4 twice to listen 
to the previous message.
Press 3 to delete the current message. The system advances to the next 
message.
