Operation
Accessing all of your computers from a single console could not
be easier. The CS-64
A uses Hotkey combinations to give the
KVM focus to the computer of your choice. The CS-64
A
provides the following Hotkey features:
M
Selecting the Active Port
M
Auto Scan Mode
M
Skip Mode
Invoking Hotkey Mode
All Hotkey operations begin by invoking Hotkey Mode. Invoking
Hotkey Mode takes three steps:
1. Press and hold down the Num Lock key
2. While [Num Lock] is down, press and release the asterisk
key or the minus key
3. Release the Num Lock key:
[Num Lock] + [*];
or:
[Num Lock] + [-];
Note: The asterisk or minus key must be released within one
half second, otherwise Hotkey invocation is canceled.
When Hotkey Mode is active:

The keyboard Caps Lock and Scroll Lock LEDs flash in
succession. They stop flashing and revert to normal status
when you exit Hotkey Mode.
M
Ordinary keyboard and mouse functions are suspended -
only Hotkey compliant keystrokes and mouse clicks
(described in the sections that follow), can be input.
M
Pressing [Esc] or [Spacebar] exits Hotkey Mode.
