8.2 Drive motor
Bearing maintenance
The bearing at the non-drive end side is greased for life.
The bearing at the drive end side is lubricated by the oil system.
Running hours Operation
4000 (1) If Atlas Copco Roto-Foodgrade fluid is used, change oil and oil filter. If Atlas Copco
Roto-Inject Fluid is used, change oil and oil filter.

4000 (1) Replace the air filter element. (More frequently for dusty environment)
Replace the filter element of the electric cabinet (where applicable)
Clean coolers.
Check pressure and temperature readings.
Carry out a LED / display test.
Check for leakages.
Open the manual drain valve (Dm) to clean the filter of the automatic drain. See
section Condensate system.
4000 (1) On water cooled units: Check for possible water leakage.
8000 (2) If Atlas Copco Roto-Xtend Duty Fluid is used, change oil and oil filter have the oil
separator element replaced.
The oil separator element must be replaced when the pressure drop over it exceeds 1
bar. Check the pressure drop while the compressor is running loaded and preferably
with a stable working pressure.
• Always consult Atlas Copco if a timer setting has to be changed.
• For the change interval of oil and oil filter in extreme conditions of temperature,
humidity or cooling air, consult your Atlas Copco Customer Centre.
• Any leakage should be attended to immediately. Damaged hoses or flexible joints
must be replaced.
