After about 5 seconds the display switches
back to normal. The distance and time re-
maining are updated each time the ignition is
turned on until the date due for service is
reached.
Service due
When the due date for service is reached, the
message
Service due! appears in the instru-
ment cluster immediately after you turn on
the ign ition. Additionally, a warn ing tone
sounds . After about 5 seconds the display
switches back to normal.
Calling up the serv ice schedules
If or when an oil change or inspection is due,
can be shown in the radio or MM!* display by
selecting the service interval display in the car
menu. Select
I CARI> Service interval display.
Resetting th e service inte rval display
Your authorized Audi dealer w ill reset the cor-
responding service schedule after performing
the appropriate service on your vehicle . You
also have the possibility to reset the oil
change schedule after having performed an
oil change according to Audi specifications .
Select
ICARI > Service interval display> Reset
oil change interval.
(}) Note
If you disconnect the battery termina ls, no
calculat ions can be made for the service
interva l display du ring this t ime and no
service rem inder w ill appear. Remember
that observing the proper service interva ls
is vita lly impo rtant to extend ing the life of
your vehicle, particu larly the engine , and
maintaining its value. Even if the mileage
driven is low, the maximum period of one
year from one service to the next must not
be exceeded.
(D Tips
- Do not reset the display between oil
changes, otherw ise the display will be in-
correct .
- The information in the Service Reminder
remains stored even when the vehicle
battery is disconnected.
Trip computer
Introduction
Applies to vehicles: with tr ip computer
The trip computer gives you information on
current and average fuel mileage, average
speed, fuel range and driving time.

The following information is cont inuously
evaluated by the trip computer and can be dis-
played sequentially in the instrument cluster
display:
Fuel rang e
The est imated cruising range in miles (km)
appears in the display. This tells you how f ar
your vehicle will be able to travel on the cur-
rent tan k of fuel and with the same driving
style. The display changes in increments of 6
miles (10 km).
The cruising range is calculated based on the
f uel consumption for the last 18 miles
(30 km). If you dr ive conservatively, the cruis-
ing range will increase.
Average fuel mil eage
The average f uel economy in MPG (l/100 km)
since you last cleared the memory appears in
th is disp lay. You can use this display to adj ust
your driv ing tech nique to achieve a desired
mileage.
