Setting up the external sensor
Inserting the batteries:
j Remove the battery compartment cover from
the back of the external sensor.
j Insert two 1.5 V
batteries (AA) (included) in
the battery compartment

Note: make sure that the polarity is correct. This
is indicated inside the battery compartment

– The external sensor is now ready for operation
and the indicator LED

will flash.
j Close the battery compartment cover.

Setting up the weather station
Inserting the batteries:
j Open the battery compartment cover on the
back of the weather station.
j Place two 1.5 V

j Close the battery compartment cover.
As soon as the batteries have been inserted, the
LCD indicates the indoor temperature

and the
humidity

. The weather station starts to receive
the signal from the external sensor. When it has
successfully received the external sensor signal, the
outdoor temperature

appears on the LCD after
around 1 minute.
Note: do not alter the position of the weather station
when it is picking up the signal, as this can interfere
with reception.
