Howtosetthevolumeforspeakersinazone

Thesesettingsareavailablewhenthespeakerisconnectedtoatleastonemorespeaker.

1.UsethesliderSystemunderVolumetosetsystemvolumeformaxannouncementsoundlevel

2.SetvolumeinAxisAudioPlayerforthebackgroundmusicsoundlevel.

3.Ifneededusetheslidersbesidethefollowerstoadjustthebalancebetweenspeakersbydecreasingtheindividualvolume

forthelouderspeakersandrepeatstep1and2.

Howtoidentifyspeakersinazone

GotoAudio>AudioOverview.

Identifyallspeakersinthezone-Clickontheuppernoteandallspeakersthatareconnectedtothespeakersystemwillmakea

sound.

Identifyasinglespeakerinthezone-Clickonthenotebesideafollowerandthatspeakerwillmakeasound.

SetUpAudio

TosetuptheAxisproduct,gotoAudio>AudioSettings.

AutoSpeakerTest

TheAutoSpeakerTestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.The

speakerplaysaseriesoftesttonesthataremeasuredbythebuilt-inmicrophone.Theregisteredtesttonesaresavedasreference

valuestooptimizespeakerperformancetoitsspecicsurroundingsattheinstallationsite.

TheAutoSpeakerTestmustbecalibratedduringrsttimeusefromitsmountedpositionattheinstallationsite.Ifthespeakeris

movedorifitslocalsurroundingschange,forexample,ifawallisbuiltorremoved,thespeakershouldbere-calibrated.

Note

Duringcalibration,itisrecommendedthatsomeoneisphysicallypresentattheinstallationsitetolistentothetesttonesand

ensurethatthetesttonesarenotmufedorblockedbyanyunintendedobstructionsinthespeaker’sacousticpath.

TocalibratetheAxisproductandrunanAutoSpeakerTest,followtheinstructionsbelow:

1.GotoSetup>Audio>AudioSettings.

2.ClickCalibratetocalibrateAxisproductandruntherstAutoSpeakerTest.

ItisalsopossibletoruntheAutoSpeakerTestbypressingthecontrolbutton.SeeProductoverview.

OncetheAxisproductiscalibrated,theAutoSpeakerTestcanberunatanytime:

1.GotoSetup>Audio>AudioSettings.

2.ClickTesttoruntheAutoSpeakerTest.

TosetuptheAutoSpeakerTestasanactionrule,seeHowtosetupactionrulesonpage22.

AudioModes

TheAxisproductsupportsthefollowingaudiomodes:

•Fullduplex–Simultaneoustwo-wayaudioallowingtheAxisproducttotransmitandreceiveaudioatthesametime.

Thereisnoechocancellation;iffeedbackloopsappear,trymovingthemicrophoneorthespeaker.
