Whenvisualconrmationisenabled,allmovingobjectsfoundbytheapplicationwillbeencircledandfollowedbypolygons.Ared
polygonindicatesthattheobjectisfoundandisdetectedasamovingobject.Agreenpolygonindicatesthattheobjectisfoundbut
isignoredbecauseitisnotintheincludeareaorbecauseofoneoftheignorelters.
Toenablevisualconrmation:
1.SelecttheEnablevisualconrmationoption.
2.ClickSave.
Note
•Visualconrmationisdisabledafter15minutes.
•Aftermodifyingasetting,clickSavetoapplythechange.Thevideostreamwillberestartedanditmaytakeafewseconds
beforethechangeisapplied.
•Enablingvisualconrmationmayintroducevideolatency.
IgnoreFilters
IfAXISVideoMotionDetection3detectstoomanyunwantedobjects,startbymodifyingtheincludeandexcludeareas.Ifstilltoo
manyobjectsaredetected,useoneormoreoftheignorelters.
Supportedignorelters:
•Swayingobjects—Usedtoignoreobjectsthatonlymoveashortdistance
•Short-livedobjects—Usedtoignoreobjectsthatonlyappearintheimageforashortperiodoftime
•Smallobjects—Usedtoignoresmallobjects
Ignoreltersareappliedtoallmovingobjectsfoundbytheapplicationandshouldbeconguredwithcaretoensurethatno
importantobjectsareignored.
Onlyuseignoreltersifneededanduseasfewltersaspossible.Enableandcongureonelteratatimeandusevisualconrmation
toverifythesettingsbeforeenablinganotherlter.Whenconguringalter,startwithasmallltersize,clickSaveandusevisual
conrmationtoverifythesettings.Ifrequired,increasetheltersizeinsmallstepsuntilthenumberofunwantedobjectsisreduced.
SwayingObjectIgnoreFilter
Theswayingobjectlterisusedtoavoiddetectingobjectsthatonlymoveashortdistance,forexamplemovingtrees,agsandtheir
shadows.Usethelterifsuchobjectscausealotoffalsedetections.Iftheswayingobjectsinthescenearelarge,forexamplelarge
pondsorlargetrees,useexcludeareasinsteadofthelter.Thelterwillbeappliedtoallmovingobjectsinsceneand,ifsetto
avaluetoolarge,importantobjectsmightnotbedetected.
Whentheswayingobjectlterisenabledandtheapplicationndsamovingobject,theobjectwillnotbereportedasdetected(red
polygoninvisualconrmation)untilithastravelledadistancelargerthanthesetltersize.Thealarmsentbytheapplicationwillbe
sentwhentheobjectisdetected.Ifthealarmisusedtostartarecording,congurethepre-triggertimesothattherecordingalso
includesthetimetheobjectmovedinthescenebeforebeingdetected.
Toenablethelter:
1.SelecttheSwayingobjectsoption.
2.Clickonthe
icontoshowtheltersizeintheimage.
3.Usethemousetoadjusttheltersize.Startwithasmallsize.Objectsmovingadistanceshorterthanthedistancefrom
thecenterofthecrosstooneofthearrowheadswillbeignored.Theltercanbemovedtothelocationofaswaying
objecttomakeiteasiertoadjustthesize.Notethatthelterwillbeappliedtoallobjectsintheimage,notonlytothe
onesatthelocationwherethelterisplaced.
