ThisAxisproductsupportsseveralPTZdevices.Pleaseseewww.axis.comforacompletelistofsupporteddevices,andtoobtainthe
correctdriver.ToinstallaPTZdeviceyouneedtoinstallthePTZdriver.
ToinstallthePTZdrivergotoPTZ>DriverSelection.Browsetondthedriver(e.g.driver.ptz)andUpload.Ifthedriverwas
successfullyuploaded,itappearsintheSelectdrivertousedrop-downlist.Fromthisdrop-downlist,selectthedrivertoinstall
orremove,andclickSave.
SelectActivatePTZtoenablePTZ.TheaddressoftheconnecteddeviceappearsagainstDeviceID.ChoosetheDevicetypefromthe
drop-downlist.Tondwhichdevicetypetouse,consultthedocumentationsuppliedbythePTZdriver.
TocompletetheinstallationgotoSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>COMPortandverifythesettings.
ControlQueue
Note
•TheadministratorcanenableanddisablePTZcontrolsforselectedusers.
•Toidentifydifferentusersintheviewergroup,cookiesmustbeenabledontheclient.
•TheControlqueuepolltimeismeasuredinseconds.Formoreinformationseetheonlinehelp
.
TheadministratorcansetupaqueueforPTZcontrollersfromPTZ>ControlQueue.Oncesetup,thePTZControlQueuebuttons
appearintheLiveViewpageofferingoneviewerexclusivecontrolforalimitedperiodoftime.Otheruserswillbeplacedinqueue.
Auserwhobelongstoagroup(seeUsersonpage55)withahigherPTZprioritycangobeforeotherusersinthequeueandtake
controloftheproduct.Theorderofpriorityisasfollows:
1.Administrator—AnadministratortakesoverPTZcontrolregardlessofwhoisrstinqueue.Theadministratorwillbe
removedfromthequeue60secondsafterthelastPTZcontrolcommand.
2.Event—TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtogotoapresetpositionwhentriggeredbyanalarm(seeEventsonpage47).
Theeventwillimmediatelybeplacedrstinthequeueexceptwhenanadministratorisincontrol.
3.Operator—Sameasadministratorbutwithlowerpriority
4.GuardTour—Aguardtour(seepage35)hasPTZcontrolforanindeniteperiodoftime.Itmaybeoverriddenbyan
operator,eventoradministrator.Theguardtourwillresumewhenhigherprioritygroupsleavethequeue.
5.Viewer—Multipleviewersmustwaitfortheirturn.Theviewerhas60secondsPTZcontrolbeforecontrolispassed
ontothenextviewerinqueue.
