Limits
Denethepan,tilt,zoomandfocuslimitsfortheAxisproduct.Movementstotheleftandright,upanddown,canberestrictedto
narrowtheareaundersurveillance.
Nearfocuslimitisusedtopreventthecamerafromautofocusingonobjectsclosetothecamera.Thisway,thecameracanignore
objectssuchasoverheadwires,streetlights,orothercamerasplacedclosetothecamera.
Tomakethecamerafocusontheareasofinterest,setthenearfocuslimittoavaluethatisgreaterthanthedistanceatwhichthe
uninterestingobjectstendtoappear.Seeillustrationbelowwherexisthenearfocuslimitvalue.
Movespeedsetsthespeedofthecamera’spanandtiltmovements.Thedefaultsettingismaximumspeed.
SelectEnableadjustablezoomspeedtousevariablespeedswhencontrollingthezoomwithforexampleajoystickoramousewheel.
ThezoomspeedisautomaticallysetthroughthecommandcontinuouszoommoveintheVAPIX®ApplicationProgramming
Interface(API).Deselectthefeaturetousethehighestzoomspeedwhichisthesamespeedformovingtopresets.
Whenusingajoystick(oremulatingonewiththemouse)theEnableproportionalspeedsettingcanbeusedtoreducethemaximum
pan/tiltmovementspeed,i.e.thespeedthecameraviewmovesatwhenthejoystickispushedallthewayoutinanydirection.Thisis
usefulthentheviewiszoomedinonanobject.
