Allocatepowerbyactualconsumption

•Whenconnectingadevice,theswitchwillpoweritupifthemaxpowerlimitcanbeensuredatthattime.

•FirsttheswitchconnectstovePoEclass4devicesandtheactualconsumptionofpoweris5x15=75W.

•Latereachdeviceconsumesupto30Wpower.Theswitchcannotpowervedevicesandtheport5withthelowest

priorityisshutdown.Theactualconsumptionis4x30=120W.

•Inthisway,thepriorityoftheportisimportant.Theportwiththelowestprioritywillbeshutdownrstwhenthe

actualconsumptionexceedsthepowerbudget.

Settings

Congurenetworksettings

Youcanchangetheswitch’sIPaddress.Butformostcamerainstallations,werecommendusingthedefaultsettings.Thereasonfor

thisisthatasurveillancenetworkisnormallyisolatedfromothernetworks,forexampleacorporateLAN.Inthiscase,youwould

onlyusethesurveillancenetworktomanageandcollectsurveillancedevicesanddatafromthevideomanagementsoftware

installedontheserver.

1.Intheswitch’smanagementpage,gotoSettings>Networksettings.

2.Entertheconnectiontype,IPaddress,subnetmask,gateway,DNS1,DNS2,andhostname.

Note

Thefactorydefaultsettingsare:astaticIPconnectionwithaddress192.168.0.1andasubnetmaskwithaddress

255.255.255.0.

3.ClickSave.
