MONITOR
TO USE PLUGGED-IN MODE
Step 1: Place the monitor display in living room, bedroom or any place you want to watch your baby.
Use adapter to connect camera with electrical outlet.
Step 2: Turn on monitor by pressing POWER/MENU buon for 5 seconds unl AXVUE logo or video
shows up on the screen.
Step 3: Press VIDEO ON/OFF buon to turn off the video if you only need to hear the voice.
Step 4: Turn off the monitor completely by pressing and holding POWER/MENU buon for 5 seconds.
TO USE PORTABLE / BATTERY MODE
Step 1: Charge the baery for at least 8 hours before using portable/baery mode.
Step 2: Make sure the adapter is plugged into camera.
Step 3: The baery life can be up to 16 hours if it is fully charged.
Baery life will be shortened if recharging it connuously. Unplug the AC adapter when you
are not using it for a long me.
Please charge the baery for 6~8 hours before using the product.

1. Pre-drill a hole with 3/16” (4.8mm) aperture in the wall.
2. Insert wall anchor into the hole and hammer it unl it is flat with the wall.
3. Tighten the screw unl 1/4” (6.2mm) of the screw is exposed.
4. Insert the adapter into camera’s DC Jack.
5. Slide the boom of camera down onto the screw unl it can hang on the wall firmly.
6. Plug adapter into an electrical outlet.
7. Use safety clip to clamp the power cord and keep it out of baby’s reach.
Wall Mounting Steps
WARNING
Asphyxiaon Danger: Store this product out of the reach of babies (at least 3 feet away from
the crib). A strap wound around baby’s neck may result in asphyxiaon. Use safety clip to
clamp the power cord and keep it out of babys reach. Do not use other extension cords. Only
use the AC adapter provided.
WARNING:
- Only use the recommended rechargeable baery. Please contact with us if you need to
change it. For contact list, please refer to the last page of the instrucon.
- Please clean the baery container before using.
- Avoid short circuit at power supply terminal.
- Remove the baery when you are not using it or when running out of power.
- Keep baery away from children.
- Dispose the empty baery properly.
BATTERY WARNING
- Store this product out of the reach of babies. (at least 1 meter away from the crib)
A strap wound around baby’s neck may result in asphyxiaon. Use safety clip to clamp the
power cord and keep it out of babys reach. Do not use other extension cords. Only use the
AC adapter provided.
- Do not touch the exposed part if the adapter is connected with power.
- Test regularly before inial use or when change the posion of camera.
- Avoid placing the product in humid place or contacng with liquid. (such as bathtub, sink,
etc.)
- Do not apply heat to the product.(such as stoves, radiators, etc.)
- Using the product in venlated place. Avoid placing it on sofas, cushions, beds or other
places which may block venlaon.
- The product only can be operated by adult. Do not allow baby to play with it. Tiny
accessories are contained, please be careful when unpack and install it.

Setup & Use
Please charge the battery for at least 8 hours before using the product.
Step 1: Test recepon first, put camera in a suitable place that
will provide you the best view of your baby in the crib (Note: Do
not hang up the camera firmly unl inial installaon test is
completed). Plug adapter into wall outlet and turn on the
camera.
Step 2: Turn on monitor by pressing and holding
Power / Menu
buon for 5 seconds unl “axvue” shows up, then video will
show up on the screen immediately. If video does not show up,
please refer to “TO PAIR MONITOR AND CAMERA (ADD
CAMERA)” at next page. If video shows up, the inial installaon
test is completed, then you can set up the camera according to
the instrucon below.
Set Up Camera: Place camera on a flat surface, such as wardrobe
or shelf (Figure 1). Or hang it on the wall (Figure 2). No maer
wherever to place the camera, please make sure to keep it away
from the crib for at least 3 feet and all power cords should be
placed behind the camera properly. Then adjust the angle of
camera lens unl the enre crib shows up on the display, or
adjust it to the best angle that you think to watch your baby.

Overview

The Axvue A242 is a video baby monitor system featuring a 4.3" LCD screen and two cameras, designed for adult use to supervise children.

Function Description:

The Axvue A242 allows parents to monitor their baby remotely using a portable LCD screen and up to two cameras. It provides real-time video and audio surveillance, with features like two-way communication, digital zoom, and automatic scanning between multiple cameras. The system is designed for both stationary (plugged-in) and portable (battery) use, offering flexibility in monitoring locations.

Usage Features:

Setup & Initial Use:

  • Battery Charging: Charge the monitor battery for at least 8 hours before initial use.
  • Camera Placement: Place the camera on a flat surface (e.g., wardrobe, shelf) or mount it on a wall. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the crib and all power cords are properly secured and out of baby's reach. Adjust the lens angle for optimal viewing.
  • Wall Mounting: Pre-drill a 3/16" (4.8mm) hole, insert a wall anchor, tighten a screw until 1/4" (6.2mm) is exposed, then slide the camera onto the screw. Secure the power cord with a safety clip.
  • Monitor Power On: Press and hold the Power/Menu button for 5 seconds until "axvue" logo or video appears.
  • Video On/Off: Press the Video On/Off button to turn off the video if only audio monitoring is desired.

Operating Modes:

  • Plugged-in Mode: Connect both camera and monitor to electrical outlets using their respective adapters.
  • Portable/Battery Mode: Charge the monitor battery for 6-8 hours. The battery life can be up to 16 hours when fully charged, but continuous recharging may shorten its lifespan. Unplug the AC adapter when not in use for extended periods.

Multi-Camera Features (when multiple cameras are connected):

  • Camera Selection: Use the "To Select a Camera" option to switch between connected cameras.
  • Auto-Scan: The "To Scan All Cameras (Auto-Scan)" feature automatically cycles through connected cameras.
  • Adding/Deleting Cameras: Options are available to add or delete cameras from the system.

Monitoring Features:

  • VOX (Video on Crying): Set up VOX to activate video when crying is detected. The manual shows settings for OFF, 1, and 3, likely corresponding to sensitivity levels.
