winter operation
You can use your Thetford Cassette Toilet as
normal in cold weather as long as the toilet
is situated in a heated location. If there is a
risk of freezing we advise that the toilet is
drained. For environmental reasons the use of
antifreeze, such as that used in car radiators, is
not recommended.
Storage
When you store your motorhome, the flush-
water tank should be emptied prior to any
extended period of inactivity e.g. winter
storage. We advise you to leave the toilet blade
open. This will prevent the blade seal from
drying out. Also, it is best to unscrew the pour
out spout cap as this will also ventilate the
waste-holding tank.
Clean your waste-holding tank with Cassette
Tank Cleaner and liberally spray the rubbers
and valve with Thetford Silicone Spray to
extend the life of the cassette.
