LUBRICATING CHAIN
1- Shut off the engine
2- Add light amounts of machine oil or chain lube to the driving chain. (Too
much machine oil or chain lube may cause splattering to occur.)
Attention:
The chain should be replaced when the adjusting limit has reached it’s
maximum.
ADJUSTMENT OF CHAIN
1- When chain adjustment is needed, loosen rear axle bolt .
2- Turn chain adjusting nuts on left and right sides to adjust tension
of chain. To keep wheel straight, adjustment marks are marked on
both sides of rear swing arm. Make sure adjustment is even with
corresponding mark on opposite side of wheel.
3- Tighten rear axle bolt by a torque of 50-60Nm (37-44 ft.lb.).
4- Repetitively check tension of chain.
Replace drive chain if it has damaged rollers, loose pins, or kinks that can-
not be freed. Lubricate drive chain if it appears dry or shows signs of rust.
Lubricate any kinked or binding links and work them free. Adjust chain slack
if needed.
