1. Safety
1.8 International Safety Standards
Standards overview
This equ ipment is built in accordance with the requirements o f the international safety standards IEC60950-1, E N60950-1,
UL60950-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.60950-1, w hich are the safety standards of information technology equipmen t including
electrical business equipment. These s afety standards impose important requirements on the use of safety critical components,
materials and insulation, in order to protect the user or operator against risk o f electric shock and energy hazard and having ac cess
to live parts. Safety standards also impose limits to the internal and external temperature rises, radiation levels, mechanical stability
and strength, enclosure cons truction and protectio n against the risk of fire. Simulated single fault condition testing ensures the
safety of the equipment to the user even when the e quipment’s normal operation fails.
1.9 Compliance IC
Canada, Industry Canada (IC) Notices
This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). O peration is subject to the following two co nditions:
(1) this device m ay not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that m ay cause
undesired operation of the device.
Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure Information
The radiated output power of the Barco Wireless Device is below the Industry C anada (IC) radio frequency exposure limits. The
Barco Wireless Device should be use d in such a manner such that the potential for human contact during normal operation is mini-
mized.

IC Antenna statement
Under Industry C a nada regulations, this radio trans mitter may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser)
gain a pproved for the transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and
its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful
communication.
This radio transmitter 9393B-R9861510 has been approved by Industry Cana da to operate with the antenna types listed below with
the maximum permissible gain and required antenna impedance for each antenna type indicated. Antenna types no t included in this
list, having a gain greater than the maximum ga in indicated for that type, are strictly prohibited for use with this device.
