Restricted access location
This product may only b e installed in a restricted acc ess location. The definition of a “restricted access location" is a location for
equipment where both of following applies:
• Access can only be gained by SERVICE PERSONN EL or by OPE RATORS who have been instructed about the reasons for
the restriction applied to the location and abou t the precautions that shall be taken.
• Access is through the us e of the tool or lock and key, or other means of security, and is controlled by the authority responsible
for the location.
Why a restricted access loca tion: This is a RG3 produ ct. Based on international requirements, no person in allowed to enter the
projected beam w ithin the zone between the projection lens and the r elated Hazard Distance (HD). This shall be physically impossible
by creating sufficient s eparation height or by placing optional bar riers. Within the restricted area operator training is cons idered
sufficient. The applicable separation heights are discussed in "High Brightness pre cautions: H azard Distance (HD)", page 6 .
Users definition
Throughout this manual, the terms SERVICE PERS O NNEL and TRA INED PROJECTIONIST refers to persons having appropriate
technical training and experience necessary to be knowledgeable of potential ha zards to which they are exposed (including, but not
limited to HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC and ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY and HIGH BRIGHTNESS PROJ ECTORS) in performing a
task, and of m easur es to minimize the potential risk to themselves or other persons. T he term U SER and OPE RATOR refers to
any person other than SERVICE PERSONNEL or TRAINED PR OJECTIO NISTS, A UT HORIZED to op erate professional projection
system s.
The TRAINE D P RO JE CTIONIST S may only perform the m aintenance task described in the User & Installation manual. All other
maintenance tasks and service tasks mus t be performed by qualified SERVICE PERSO NN EL.

1.2 Important safety instructions
To prevent the risk of electrical shock
• This projector s hould be operated from an AC power source. E nsure that the m ains voltage and capacity matches the p rojector
electrical ratings. If you are una ble to install the AC requirements, contact your electrician. Do not defeat the purpose of the
grounding.
• Installation according to the local electrical code and regulations by qualified technical personnel only.
• This pr oduct is equipped with a three-terminal b arrier s trip for the connection of a mono phase power line with a s eparate
earth ground PE. If you are unable to install the AC Requirements, contact your electrician. Do not defeat the purpose of the
grounding.
• The cross-sectional area of the conductors in the power supply cord shall be not less than 2.5 mm

(12 AWG) , minimum 300
V. Take into account that the cable gland of the projector allows a cable diameter from 8 to 13 millimeter.
