11 SHUT-OFF AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Unattended performance of the RAINSTAR is made possible by a final and safety shut-off. The final shut-off
is actuated when the sprinkler cart presses against the shut-off frame, which in turn operates the gear shift
lever through a linkage. This way the drive is stopped.
To avoid troubles caused by faulty windings of the PE-pipe on the reel, shut-off is also activated by the shut-
off frame when faulty pipe windings build up on the reel.
