7.11. Gassystem
Description of the system
Thegassystem(LPG)withitsgascontainersfeedsthe(optionallyinstalled)consumers.Themaincomponentsof
this system and their respective positions are detailed under chapter „7.12.2. Notation of the main decks gas system
components“ page 45 and „7.13. Drawing gas system y deck (general view)“ page 45. The gas bottles are
locatedintheirrespectivelockers.Themaindecksgaslockerissituatedunderthestairsthatleadtotheybridge
deck,thegaslockerontheydeckislocatedinthewetbar.ThegassystemcomplieswiththestandardENISO
10239.Pleasemakesurethattheregulationsofyouragstatearealsocompliedwith.
Haverepairsandworkonthegassystemexecutedbyadequatepersonnelonly.Anychangestothesystemmustbe
documented in this manual. The gas stowage compartments drain towards the outside, make sure these drains are
not obstructed. Also water may drain through the same opening.

Save operation of the gas system
Caution
» Read the supplied appliance manufacturers instructions before using any part of the
gas system.
» Close fuel supply-line valves and cylinder valves when appliances are not in use. Close
valves before refueling and immediately in an emergency. Be sure that appliance
valves are closed before opening the cylinder.
» Do not use cleaning solutions containing ammonia.
» Keep valves on empty cylinders closed and disconnected. Keep protective covers, caps or
plugs in place. Store reserve cylinders in ventilated housings on open decks or in gas-
tight lockers which are vented overboard and intended for that purpose
» Never allow gas cylinders to fall. Keep caps in position on the bottle neck while moving
cylinders.Useagascylindercartwhiletransportinglongdistances.Keepstoredgas
cylinders secure at all times.
