Inserting the Filter
1. Open the fi lter compartment (5) .
2. Place the fi lter insert into the fi lter compartment.
3. Insert the permanent fi lter into the fi lter insert (Picture G).
4. Close the fi lter compartment again. It must engage.
Setting the Number of Cups
The number of cups must be set when making coffee with coffee beans. Keep touching the fi eld
(14) until the display shows the number of cups you want(15).
The selected number of cups is saved until a new number of cups is set or the device has
been disconnected from the power supply.
Setting the Coffee Strength
The coffee strength can be set when making coffee with coffee beans. To do this, keep touching
the fi eld
(16) until the coffee strength you want (indicator ; 13) is shown on the display.
Mild coffee
Medium coffee
Strong coffee
The selected coffee strength is saved until a new coffee strength is set or the device has
been disconnected from the power supply.
“Added Flavour” Function
The brewing time when making coffee with coffee powder (see the “Preparation”
chapter – “Making Coffee with Coffee Powder”) can be extended with the “Added Flavour”
function. The extended brewing time will give your coffee a more intense fl avour.
We recommend that you only use the “Added Flavour” function for 2 or 4 cups. This is
because the brewing time for 6, 8 or 10 cups is long by default. An even longer brewing
time could make the coffee too bitter.
Touch the fi eld (16) once, the display shows to indicate the coffee strength(13). The
“Added Flavour” function is switched on.
Please Note! The “Added Flavour” function switches off automatically after each brewing process.
