To end the brewing process prematurely, touch the eld

The indicator
stops ashing
and the device is in standby mode.
At the end of the brewing process, you will hear two beeps and the device automatically switches
on the hotplate (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Keep-Warm Function”).
Making Coffee with Coffee Powder
1. Fill the water tank (10) with water (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Filling the
Water Tank”).
2. Insert the permanent lter (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting the Filter”).
3. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the permanent lter using the measuring
spoon which is supplied with the device or another suitable spoon. We recommend one level
spoonful for each 125 ml cup. Do not over ll the permanent lter!
4. If you wish, switch on the “Added Flavour” function (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter
““Added Flavour” Function”).
5. Touch the eld
(17). The indicator (20)appears on the display. The grinder shaft is
not opened when the brewing process starts.
6. Touch the eld (26) to start the brewing process. The indicator (11) ashes. Hot water
is poured over the coffee to brew it.

Making Coffee with a Preset Time
To make coffee with a preset time, the clock needs to be set (see the “Handling and
Operation” chapter – “Time”).
1. Prepare the coffee machine for the type of coffee you want to prepare (see previous sections).
2. Touch the eld
(23), the clock indicator(12) and the indicator (22) on the display
ash.
3. Use the elds H (21) and M (19) to set the start time you want (see the “Handling and
Operation” chapter – “Time”).
4. To activate the preset time, touch the eld
again. The indicator lights up constantly on
the display. The preset time is activated.
Once the preset time is reached, the device switches on automatically. The
indicator

ashes on the display.
After setting the timer, you can still make changes to the settings for your coffee. The device
brews the coffee with the most recently saved settings! So you should only set your timer
when you know that you do not want to make any more changes to the settings.
