Keep-Warm Function
The device has an automatic keep-warm function. The hotplate remains switched on for approx.
40 minutes after each brewing process.
If the keep-warm function is to be ended before this, touch the eld (26).
If you are using the thermal jug, switch off the keep-warm function before you start by
touching the eld (14) for approx. 5 seconds. The indicator (18) goes out on the
display. The hotplate is not switched on after the brewing process. The device switches directly to
stand-by mode.
Please Note! As the design of the device means that the hot water lines run under the hotplate,
the thermal jug gets hot during the brewing process despite the keep-warm function being
switched off. This is normal and does not represent a defect.
The keep-warm function can be switched on again by touching the eld
again for approx. 5
seconds. The indicator
appears on the display.
Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop which prevents water from dripping out of the permanent lter when
the coffee jug has been removed from the device.
When the device is in operation, the lter compartment (5) must be closed and a coffee jug with
a lid placed on it must be placed beneath the lter compartment. The lid of the coffee jug pushes
the drip stop upwards and the coffee can ow from the permanent lter through the lid into the
coffee jug.
During the brewing process, the coffee jug must not be removed from the device for
longer than 30 seconds as otherwise the permanent lter could over ow.
Preparation
PLEASE NOTE!
Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the 2
Cups mark. If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In this case, allow the
device to cool down before water is poured in and the device is used again.
Never use the device without a suitable jug below the coffee outlet.
Making Coffee with Coffee Beans
1. Prepare the coffee machine, pour in coffee beans and water, set the grinding neness and
insert the permanent lter (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter).
2. Set the number of cups and coffee strength you want (see the “Handling and Operation”
chapter – “Setting the Number of Cups” and “Setting the Coffee Strength”).
3. Touch the eld (26) to switch on the grinder and start the brewing process. The indicator
(11) ashes on the display. Freshly ground coffee is transported through the grinder shaft
into the permanent lter and then hot water is poured over it to brew it.
