WIRE ROPE INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
• Liftingcablesshouldbereplacedevery(3)threeyearsor
whenvisiblesignsofdamageareapparent.DONOTUSE
LIFTWITHDEFECTIVEORWORNCABLES.
• Wireropeshouldbemaintainedinawell-lubricated
conditionatalltimes.Wireropeisonlyfullyprotectedwhen
eachwirestrandislubricatedbothinternalandexternal.
Excessivewearwillshortenthelifeofthewirerope.The
factorysuggestswireropelubricantthatpenetratestothe
coreoftheropeandprovideslong-termlubricationbetween
eachindividualstrand.Inordertomakesurethattheinner
layersoftheroperemainwelllubricated,lubricationshould
becarriedoutatintervalsnotexceedingthree(3)months
duringoperation.
• Allsheavesandguiderollersincontactwiththemoving
wireropeshouldbegivenregularvisualchecksforsurface
wearandlubricatedtomakesurethattheyrunfreely.This
operationshouldbecarriedoutatappropriateintervals
generallynotexceedingthree(3)monthsduringoperation.
Forallsheaveaxles,thefactoryrecommendsstandard
wheelbearinggrease.Forallsheavesand/orguide
rollers,
thefactoryrecommends90-WTgearoilorsimilarheavy
lubricantappliedbyanymethodincludingpump/spray
dispensing,brush,handand/orswabbing.
NEVER LIFT ANY VEHICLE IN ANY MANNER WITH LESS
THAN FOUR (4) ARMS. RATED CAPACITY OF EACH
LIFT ARM IS NO GREATER THAN ONE FOURTH (1/4)
OF THE OVERALL LIFTING CAPACITY.

3ClearsafetylocksbymaintainingpressureonSAFETYLOCK
RELEASEHANDLEtoitsfurthesttravel.
3Besuretooltrays,standsorpersonnelareremovedfrom
undervehicle.
3Lowervehiclebypressingpowerunitloweringhandleuntillifthas
descendedcompletely.
3Maintainvisualcontactwithvehicleandsurroundingareaatall
timeswhileloweringlift.
3STOP IMMEDIATELYifloadshiftsorbecomesunlevel.
3Beforeremovingvehiclefromliftarea,positionliftarmstoprovide
unobstructedexit.
3NEVER,driveoverliftarms.
