The RediStart MX
2
SEP synchronous field controller is a microprocessor based controller for single or three-
phase field supply. The synch controller can be custom designed for specific applications. A few of the features
are:
• Solid state design
• Closed-loop motor current control
• Programmable operating parameters
• Programmable metering
Each MX
2
SEP can operate within applied line voltage of 100VAC to 600VAC (optional 1000VAC) and
frequency values 23 to 72Hz.
The field controller can be programmed for synchronous motor fields. The RediStart MX
2
SEP can also protect
the motor and its load from damage that could be caused by incorrect phase order wiring.
The controller continually monitors the amount of current being delivered to the motor. This protects the motor
from overheating or drawing excess current.
