4. Initial use
4.1 Insert the batteries
1. Remove the battery compartment lid from the rear of the main device.
2. Insert four AAA type (LR03) batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the batteries
are inserted the correct way round.
3. Then close the battery compartment lid until you see and hear it click into place.
The batteries must be replaced when appears on the display.
The device will emit an acoustic signal and the year will flash on the display. Now set the date and time
as described below.
Battery disposal

The empty, completely flat batteries must be disposed of through specially designated collection
boxes, recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally required to dispose of the batteries.

The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = Battery contains lead,
Cd = Battery contains cadmium,
Hg = Battery contains mercury.
