Problem Possible cause Solution
The device will not switch on. The batteries are flat. Replace the batteries.
The batteries have been in

serted incorrectly.
Re-insert the batteries, observing
the correct polarity (-/+).
The cu does not inflate. The cu line is not correctly
inserted into the device.
Ensure that the cu line is correctly
inserted into the device.
The cu is ruptured. Replace the cu. Contact

The cu was not attached
correctly.
Re-attach the cu.
You moved or talked during
the measurement.
Do not move or talk during the
measurement.
The measurement was ob

Ensure that clothing cannot obstruct
the arm cu during the measure-
ment.
Stored measured values can
no longer be retrieved from
the memory.
Old measured values have
been overwritten by more
recent values as the memory
is full.
Download the stored measured
values to your computer every
so often.
The ECG measurement does
not start even though there is
contact with the skin.
Insucient contact pressure.
Ensure that the lower electrode
is pressed firmly against the skin.
