Repair
of the
PS-823
Emergency
Power Supply should be accomplished
by
a
qualified
technician at
an
authorized service center.

a
list of consumable materials.
2. Circuit Card
Assembly
(CCA)
Repair

stringent circuit board
manufacturing
processes
and soldering
requirements.
To
provide
for
best circuit
board repair
results,
match
these requirements in
the
CCA
repair
process.
BFGAS uses industry standards
IPC-A-610B
and
ANSI/J-STD-001
(for class
2
applications)
for
soldering
practices
and
workmanship
standards.

A. Circuit
Board Removal
Circuit
card assemblies
must be removed from
the unit for
repair.
Mounting
hardware
may be
secured with a
bonding
agent or by conformal
coatings.
Use
an
X-ACTO
or the similar knife to
remove
coating from
screw head slots and
other secured fasteners.
Use
normal hand
torque
to
free fasteners and hardware.

Clean
the affected
component(s) and adjacent area
with
acetone
to
remove conformal
coating
material.
2) Use
small wire cutters
to cut
component
leads and remove affected
component(s).

CAREFULLY,
INSURING
THATCIRCUIT
BOARDTRACKSANDLANDS
ARE
NOT
DAMAGED.

Apply flux
to
original solder connection
on
both
primary
and
secondary
sides
of
circuit
board.
