To replace
Battery
Pack AlB1 (45), unsolder
the
two
connecting
wires
from the tabs.
Again,
note position of each
wire
so that it
can
be reconnected
to
the proper tab
on
the replacement
assembly.
Remove the defective
Battery
Pack AlB1 (45) from
the
Chassis
(-220).
F. Install the replacement
Battery
Pack AlB1 (45) in Chassis
(-220).
Connect and
solder the
leads (removed in
step F) to the proper
tab
on the
new
battery
assembly.

procedures.

Repair
Individual
cells may be
replaced
in
the A1B1 and A1B2 Battery Packs. Refer
to
Figure
601.
A. Remove
screw
(601-1)
and
Battery
Access Cover
(601-2)
to expose the
individual
cells.
B.
Cut the interconnecting
tabs
as
close
as
possible to
the cell(s)
being removed.
Save the
insulating
washer(s) from
atop
of the
defective
cell(s)
for
use
on replacement
cell(s).
C.
Check polarity of replacement
cells
before
installation into the
battery
assembly.
