A. Negative (–) Terminal

D. Battery
ÿ Clean the battery using a solution of
baking soda and water. Be sure that
the cable connections are clean.
Battery Installation
ÿ Place the battery on the battery
case.
ÿ Connect the positive (+) cable to
the positive (+) terminal, and then
connect the negative (–) cable to the
negative (–) terminal.
NOTICE
Installing the negative (–) cable to the
positive (+) terminal of the battery or
the positive (+) cable to the negative
(–) terminal of the battery can seriously
damage the electrical system.
ÿ Put a light coat of grease on the
terminals to prevent corrosion.
ÿ Cover the positive (+) terminal with
the red cap.
ÿ Install the seat Refer to the
Seats section in the GENERAL
INFORMATION chapter.
