POWERING INSTRUMENT
Before operating the instrument, make sure to
connect it to a power source, which could be either a
battery or an external AC adapter.
Installing Battery
The 830C and 890C capacitance meters can be
powered by a battery, thus making it portable.
The meters use a standard 9V size battery (or
NEDA 1604, JIS006P, IEC6F22 carbon-zinc or
alkaline battery).
To install the battery:
1. Place the meter upside down. Open up the
back-flip stand, and locate the screw that
tightens the battery compartment cover as
indicated in Figure 4. Use a screwdriver to
unscrew and remove the cover.
