UNPROTECTED FISHING GAFF HOOKS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
INJURY TO PASSENGERS IF THE GAFF IS NOT STORED
PROPERLY IN THE RACK. TO REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY
FOR INJURY, ALWAYS STORE GAFFS WITH THE GUARD
INSTALLED AND THE GAFF ROTATED SO THE HOOK IS
LAYING FLUSH AGAINST THE SIDE OF THE COCKPIT.
NEVER STORE A GAFF WITH THE HOOK UNPROTECTED
AND ROTATED SUCH THAT THE HOOK IS FACING TOWARD
THE COCKPIT.
Aft Systems Compartment Access Hatch
A hatch in the rear of the cockpit provides ac-
cess to fuel lters, pumps, strainers and other
equipment in the stern bilge. The aft bilge pump,
baitwell pump, raw water pump and shbox pumps
are among the equipment in this compartment.
The hatch is held open by two gas charged springs
and secured closed with two ush, lift to release
latches. Always make sure the hatch is closed with
the latches in the secured position before operat-
ing the boat above idle speed.
Aft below Deck Fishboxes
Two large below deck shboxes are located on
each side of the cockpit. Each shbox hatch is
equipped with gas charged springs that hold the
Starboard Cockpit Rod Rack
hatch in the open position. Flush, lift to release
latches secure the hatches in the closed position.
Always make sure the hatch is closed with the
latches in the secured position before operating
the boat above idle speed.
Each shbox is drained by removing a drain plug
at the rear of the box or by an optional diaphragm
pump out system located in the aft systems
compartment bilge.
