by shore power 120 volt AC current. If the boat
is not connected to shore power, the inverter
converts DC current from the house batteries to
120 volt AC current for the grill.
Use the control pad to activate the burner and con-
trol the temperature. Refer to the grill operation
manual for additional information and instructions
for operating the grill and control pad.
After cooking, be sure the burner is turned o and
allowed to cool before closing the lid and handling
the grill. Never close the lid or place the grill in
the storage compartment while it is hot. Once the
grill is cool, close the grill lid and stow the grill in
the storage compartment.
Notice:
The inverter draws a substantial amount of
current from the house batteries when in
inverter mode. It takes approximately 20
amps 12 volt DC current to provide 2 amps
120 volt AC current. Most grills draw 10 to
11 AC amps. Therefore, you should limit
grilling time to 30 minutes when no shore
power is available.
In situations requiring a grilling time longer
than 30 minutes, the engines can be started
to charge the batteries, if safe to do so.
Refer to DC/AC Inverter in the Electrical
Systems section for additional information
on operating the engines to charge the bat-
teries while using the grill.
When the house batteries are depleted to
10.5 to 11 volts, an alarm will sound. When
voltage drops to 10 volts, the inverter will
automatically shutdown. You should avoid
allowing battery voltage to drop to alarm
and shutdown levels. Low battery voltage

shorten battery life.
