Power off the transmitter. Fully charge the Li-Po battery before storing
the helicopter.
• Readtheinstructionmanualcarefully(especiallytheTroubleshootingsectionifyou’rehavingproblems).
• Small,smoothcontrolinputsarebest.Quicklymovingthestickjustproducesinstabilityandnorealight
control.
• Makesuretheightbatteryisfullychargedbeforeeachight.It’sbettertoruntheightbatterydownto
50%orlowerbeforerecharging.Agood,fullychargedbatteryshouldbegoodforapproximately6
minutesofighttime.Ifyourighttimefallsbelow4minutes,yourbatterymayneedreplaced.
• Keeptheunitdryandclean.Carpetlint,pethair,dirt,etc,canrestrictthemotorandcontrols,givingreduced
power and control response times.
• FailuretoBind—HoldtheTransmitterafewfeetawayfromthehelicopterwhilebinding.Bindingwhiletoo
close can sometimes cause problems.
• Makesurethatthetailboomispushedfullyintotheframe.Aloosetailwillcausethehelicoptertoshake.
• Makesurethecanopyisconnectedtoallfourmountingposts.Aloosecanopywillcausethehelicopterto
shake.
• Thehelimustbesittingperfectlystilltoinitializewhenyoupluginthebattery.Ifyouareholdingitinyour
hand or, moving it around, it may not initialize properly. There should be no reason to unplug it and start
again.Justputitdownonthelandingskidsanditwillinitializeinafewseconds.
• Makesurethatthestabilizer/ybarisfreetomoveupanddown.Thisiswhatstabilizesthetoprotor
system.Ifthestabilizer/ybarisrestricted,yourScoutCXheliwillnotycorrectly.
