Exploring the App

Logging Page - Provides the opportunity to select certain data you want to monitor and log.
You specify the interval in seconds that the App should check the data and how often it should
email the log to you. When you start logging it will record all the data points chosen and keep
a record of these in an Excel style spreadsheet. This can be used for fuel economy analysis and
might be very helpful in trouble shooting a problem.
Info Page - Shows the VIN, Make, Model, Serial No, etc. for the vehicle, engine, brakes, and
transmission. Note, not all manufacturers will send this information so it could be incomplete.
See the Ignore Vehicle Info settings.
About Page - Shows information about the App, the Adapter, and us (BlueFire). Please note
the 'What's New' button, as it will list what improvements that have been made to the App.
The 'Getting Started' is also available to view.
Settings Page - Allows you to set up and configure the App and adapter for your particular
use. See the 'App Settings' section below.
Connect - Initiates the connection to the adapter. You should review the 'App Settings' section
first before connecting.
Orientation
The BlueFire App can operate either in a single orientation (portrait or landscape) or switch
between portrait and landscape orientation when you rotate your device. The default is to switch
between orientations. This can be changed in the 'Lock App Orientation' setting (see the 'App
Settings' section below).
If in rotate orientation mode, the App will attempt to detect when the device is laying flat on a
surface and lock the device in the current location. When you pick up your device, orientation will
be unlocked. If you have trouble with flat orientation, try locking the orientation of your device.
You can have different custom dashes for each orientation (see 'Dash Orientation' in the
'Customizing your Dash' section). By default the View Dash page will switch orientation even if you
have the App orientation locked. If you want your custom dash orientation to be locked, you need
to set the 'Customize Dash' option 'Lock Dash Orientation'.
Backing Up App Data
Backing up App data is different depending on your platform (Apple, Android, Windows).
For Apple iOS device, use your Mac computer to connect to your mobile device and copy the App
folder.
