Customizing your Dash
© BlueFire LLC ↑ Go to the top Version 3.3 | Page 40
If you load, import, or download a dash and it was designed for the opposite orientation that the
App is in, you will receive a warning alert. If you continue, the dash will be display as it was
designed with either vertical or horizontal scrolling enabled if needed.
Designing a Device Dash
With Windows 10 and MacBook computers you can design a dash for another device type. This
option is in the Customize Dash page. Here are the steps to do this:
1. Go to the Home page.
2. Resize your App Window to a portrait or landscape orientation depending on which
orientation you're designing your device for.
3. Go to the Customize Dash page.
4. Clear your custom dash.
5. Maximize your App window.
6. Click on the 'Design Device Dash' option.
7. Uncheck 'Landscape' if this is going to be a Portrait dash.
8. Select the appropriate dash you're going to design. If the device is not in the list you'll
have to look up the resolution and enter it in the 'Width' and 'Height' fields.
9. Click on 'Resize the App'. Your App window will be resized to the same resolution as your
selected device.
10. Design your dash.
11. Save your dash.
12. Share your dash with yourself.
13. Go to your device and Import the dash you just shared.
14. Save the imported dash before you show it.
15. Select the Auto Resize option.
16. Show the dash.
17. You might have to resize or tweak the dash a bit to fit perfectly.
Note, for MacBooks, graphic gauges are not available and placeholders are shown instead. The
graphic placeholders can be resized to fit but none of the graphic options will be shown. They can
still be entered though. This is not a perfect science so expect some differences when you import
your dash into your device.
Sharing your Dash
There are two ways you can share your custom dash. You can share it just with a friend or you
can share it with everyone. In both cases, you must save your dash first. It is highly recommended
that when you save your dash that you provide a good explanation of the dash in the notes
