Customizing your Dash

'Snap to Grid Widths', you must go to Customize Gauges and set the Gauge Size 'Width'
and 'Height' of your template gauge to 0 in order to snap and size to the new widths.
13. Once you have the correct 'Snap to Grid Widths', add your other text gauges and move
them to where you want them in your dash.
14. Group your dash grid so all the gauges can be moved together.
15. Optionally save your dash grid as a sub-dash (see above). Don't forget to add your group
number to the notes section so you don't accidently re-use the group number somewhere
else.
Auto Resize
Auto Resize is an option of the Customize Dash page. It can be used whenever you download or
import a custom dash. If you're planning on resizing a dash, it's probably a good idea to save it
first to you can reload it if the resizing isn't satisfactory.
Auto Resize compares the width and height of the dash's host screen with yours and adjusts the
gauges accordingly. If the dash was designed for vertical scrolling then Auto Resize will attempt to
fit the dash horizontally. Likewise if the dash was designed for horizontal scrolling then Auto Resize
will attempt to fit the dash vertically. If no scrolling is set then Auto Resize will attempt to fit the
dash as best as possible.
This is not a perfect science and you may want to try auto resizing and if it doesn't fit your screen
very well, you can try reloading the dash again, turn off Auto Resize and resize the dash yourself.
Dash Orientation
You can design and show two different orientation dashes, one for portrait and one for landscape.
This could be handy for maybe a landscape driving dash and portrait trouble shooting dash. The
dashes switch when you rotate the View Dash page.
If you have only one dash and rotate your device, the Customize Dash page will be shown to allow
you to create your other dash. If you do not want to switch dashes, you need to set the Customize
Dash page option 'Lock Dash Orientation'. Note, the 'Lock Dash Orientation' overrides the Settings
page 'Lock App Orientation'.
When you save your dash, it's probably a good idea to label it as a portrait or landscape dash so
you don't get confused when loading it back in. The App will however warn you if you're loading
an opposite oriented dash. The AutoSave and default custom dash names will be named according
to the orientation.
