Step 1 — Prepare template
Remove template from box and read all instructions carefully. For 12"
or 15" sets, cut off left side of template on the line marked for your set.

Step 2 — Mark centerline in cabinet
Using a framing square, mark centerline of cabinet opening. It is
helpful to make a mark that extends 20" into cabinet.
Step 4 — Mark mounting screw locations
Punch eight hole locations marked on the template, pre-boring
through template is not recommended.
Step 3 — Align and secure template
Lay template inside cabinet. Line up fold with the front edge of the
cabinet, then align template on the centerline, front and back.
Tap in g
template to the cabinet face and bottom is required to keep template
in place while marking the holes.
Step 6 — Attach drawer front to front bracket
Use the specifications and instructions on the reverse side of this
template to attach drawer front and install drawer. Next, open the
drawer and insert your bins. Your waste/recycle drawer is now ready
to use.
Step 5 — Mount the waste/recycle set
Remove template and place cabinet profile set on bottom of cabinet.
Set runners back 4 mm and line up centerline mark on cabinet bottom
with center marks on the metal crossrails. Use a power drill and a
#2x2" (or longer) Phillips bit to secure all eight pre-attached screws.

Function Description

The TANDEMBOX Waste/Recycle Set is a full-extension drawer system that integrates waste and recycling bins directly into kitchen or utility cabinetry. It allows for easy access to bins by pulling out the drawer, and the system is designed to operate smoothly, potentially with a soft-close mechanism (BLUMOTION) or an electronic opening assist (SERVO-DRIVE) depending on the specific configuration. The system supports various bin sizes and configurations, making it a versatile solution for waste management. The core function is to provide a concealed and easily accessible waste disposal solution, enhancing kitchen aesthetics and functionality.

Usage Features

Installation Process:

The installation begins with preparing a template provided in the box. For 12" or 15" sets, a specific section of the template needs to be cut off along the marked line. For an 18" set, the template is used as is.

1. Prepare Template: Remove the template from the box and read all instructions carefully. Cut the left side of the template if installing a 12" or 15" set.
2. Mark Centerline in Cabinet: Using a framing square, mark the centerline of the cabinet opening. It's recommended to extend this mark at least 20" into the cabinet for better alignment.
3. Align and Secure Template: Place the template inside the cabinet. The fold line on the template should align with the front edge of the cabinet. The template must also be aligned with the marked centerline, both front and back. Taping the template to the cabinet face and bottom is crucial to keep it in place during the marking process.
4. Mark Mounting Screw Locations: Once the template is secured, punch the eight hole locations marked on the template. The instructions explicitly state that pre-boring through the template is not recommended, implying that the punch marks are sufficient for guiding the screws.
5. Mount the Waste/Recycle Set: After removing the template, place the cabinet profile set on the bottom of the cabinet. The runners should be set back 4 mm from the front edge. Align the centerline mark on the cabinet bottom with the center marks on the metal crossrails of the waste/recycle set. Use a power drill and a #2x2" (or longer) Phillips bit to secure all eight pre-attached screws.
6. Attach Drawer Front to Front Bracket: Refer to the specifications and instructions on the reverse side of the template to attach the drawer front to the front bracket and then install the complete drawer assembly. Once the drawer is installed, open it and insert the bins. The waste/recycle drawer is then ready for use.

Drawer Adjustments:

The system offers three types of adjustments to ensure proper alignment and function of the drawer front:

1. Height Adjustment: To adjust the drawer front up or down, use a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the screw as shown in the diagram. This adjustment should be performed on both the left and right sides if necessary to maintain an even alignment.
2. Side Adjustment: To adjust the drawer front left or right, use a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the screw as shown in the diagram. For proper alignment, adjust both the left and right sides equally, turning them either toward or away from the drawer front.
3. Tilt Adjustment: To adjust the tilt of the drawer front, first slide the gallery cover towards the drawer back. Then, rotate the orange adjustment piece as shown in the diagram. After adjusting, slide the cover back towards the drawer front. This adjustment should also be performed on both the left and right sides if necessary.
