DANGER
Use of damaged charging
cable.

Do not use a damaged char-
ging cable.
Immediately remove a dam-
aged charging cable (housing
or cable) from service.
NOTICE
Always fit the protective cap to
the on-vehicle connector to keep
out moisture and dirt.
Use a standard charging cable,
Mode3 charging cable or per-
manently installed cable of a
charging station to charge the
vehicle's high-voltage battery
unit. The charging cable can be
stowed in the rear stowage com-
partment.
Standard charging cable
You can use the standard char-
ging cable to charge by connect-
ing to a household socket with
protective earth. Connected to a
household socket as power sup-
ply, charging is with alternating
current.

Mode3 charging cable
The Mode3 charging cable has
a special plug for safe charging
at the sockets of charging sta-
tions accessible to the public.
Charging is faster than at house-
hold sockets. Charging stations
sometimes have permanently in-
stalled Mode3 charging cables.
