exhaustive tests and trials.
Consequently, manipulation
of the BMW engine manage-
ment system (BMS) control
unit invariably means an in-
creased risk to your safety on
the road.

(BMS) control unit voids the
warranty.
Technical modifications are
only permitted to a limited
extent.
If you are planning such modifi-
cations, comply with all the
legal requirements. The vehicle
must not infringe your national
road-vehicle construction and
use regulations.
Your authorised BMW dealer
will gladly advise you on techni-
cal requirements, the manufac-
turer's recommendations and
the overall benefit likely to be
obtained.
Genuine BMW parts
For reasons of safety, use only
genuine BMW parts and acces-
sories.
Genuine BMW parts are identi-
cal with those fitted to your
BMW C1 as original equipment.
BMW Motorrad guarantees
against material defects and
poor workmanship, but cannot
accept any liability for spare
parts or accessories of outside
origin.
