Battery maintenance instructions
If vehicle is off the road for
a prolonged period:
• Check battery acid level
• Store the battery in a cool, dry
place
• Recharge the battery at inter-
vals during the storage period
– Always charge the battery
before laying up the vehicle
out of use, and again when
restoring it to the road –
note charging instructions
– In case of doubt ask a spe-
cialist, preferably an author-
ised BMW dealer, to prepare
the vehicle for laying up and
to carry out the necessary
battery maintenance and
storage

Important:
Regular maintenance, together
with correct storage and charg-
ing, will increase battery life and
must have been performed cor-
rectly if warranty claims are to
be entertained.
