Cleaning the seat belts

Important:
When cleaning, make sure that
cleaning agent does not pene-
trate inside the belt buckles.
– Foreign matter on the belts
hampers the inertia reels and
thus impairs safety
• Use only a mild soap and
water solution to clean the
seat belts when installed: do
not use chemicals as they
could damage the webbing
• Roll the seat belts onto the
reels only when dry
Removing road salt
• Wash the vehicle down imme-
diately with cold water at the
end of the journey

Note:
Do not use warm water
– this aggravates the effect of
the salt.
• Dry the vehicle thoroughly
• Coat/polish fairing elements
after cleaning and drying with
a recommended wax
