Tighten retaining screws (1) in succession, in di-
agonally opposite sequence.
Lubrication points:
Splines on clutch plate and input shaft.
Diaphragm spring contact surface on clutch hous-
ing.
Diaphragm spring contact surface on pressure
plate.

– Install the gearbox (
a 23.10).
– Install starter motor (
a 12.13).
– Install transverse tube (
a 46.25).
– Install front drive shaft (
a 33.23).
– Install swinging arm (
a 33.24).
– Install the rear wheel drive (
a 33.19).
– Install brake caliper (
a 34.5).
– [Without Integral ABS] Install inductive signal
transmitter (
a 61.15).
– Install the rear wheel (
a 36.8).

Removing/installing clutch slave
cylinder and pushrod
Removing/installing clutch slave cylinder
– Remove rear wheel (
a 36.8).
– [Without Integral ABS] Install inductive signal
transmitter (a 61.15).
– Remove brake caliper, fasten to the rear frame
with the sensor using a cable tie
(
a 34.5).
– Remove rear wheel drive unit (
a 33.7).
– Remove the front section of the rear carrier
(a 46.7).
– Remove swinging arm (
a 33.21).
e Important:
To prevent the clutch slave cylinder (2) from intaking
air, release retaining screws (1) alternately and uni-
formly.
•
Release fasteners (1).
•
Pull clutch slave cylinder (2) away from gearbox.
•
Remove paper gasket.
•
Release banjo bolt (4), remove pressure line (3)
and bleed line (5).
