Removing the rear brake
Do not damage brake lines,
brake disk, brake pads and
wheel when removing.
Do not damage the ABS sensor
cable, the ABS sensor ring and
the ABS sensor.
Do not scratch the wheel when
forcing back the brake pads or
removing the caliper (apply
masking tape if necessary).
In order to avoid damage to the
brake caliper and possible diffi-
culty when assembling: do not
operate the handbrake lever or
footbrake pedal with the brake
caliper removed.
Removing brake caliper
Place the motorcycle on its
center stand, making sure
that the surface is level and
firm
Remove fitted screw 1 and
brake-caliper screw 2 for
brake caliper 3
Force the brake pads in by
rocking caliper 3 back and
forth
•Carefully remove brake
caliper 3
Check the brake pads (b 36) and
have them replaced if necessary.
