Set the band saw blade perpendicular to the saw table
Tools and aids
Allen key 4 mm (23)
Open-end wrench; 10 mm (24) (not included)
Stop bracket (not included) or alternavely, rip fence
Set the band saw blade perpendicular to the saw table (Fig. F)
1. Raise the upper guide (6) all the way up.
2. Loosen the locking handle (17) and handle screw (15).
3. Place the stop bracket between the band saw blade (28) and the saw table (7).
4. Tilt the saw table unl it is at an angle of exactly 90° to the band saw blade.
If the support screw (38) protrudes too far, loosen the nut (39) and turn the support screw into the housing.
5. Tighten the locking handle (17) and handle screw (15).
6. Loosen the nut (39) if necessary.
7. Turn the support screw unl the support screw (38) touches the underside of the saw table.
8. Tilt the saw table.
9. Hold the support screw (38) with a hex key. Fix the support screw with the nut (39).
Changing the band saw blade
Notes
If you have diculty mounng the band saw blade, contact a qualied specialist.
Only use band saw blades recommended by the manufacturer.
Opening the machine
1. Remove one screw of the reinforcer (30) and loosen the second screw.
2. Turn the reinforcer so that the slot in the saw table (7) is free.
3. Open both housing doors (2).
4. Lower the upper guide (6) all the way down.
5. Open the saw band guard (5) on the upper guide. To do this, reach into the gap on the le.
Removing the band saw blade
1. Put on the safety gloves.
2. Release the tension of the band saw blade (28).
3. Remove the band saw blade.
You can now mount a dierent band saw blade.
Mounng the band saw blade
1. Lower the running wheel (29) with the clamping screw (3) viewed from above.
2. Place the band saw blade (28) around the drive wheel (25) and running wheel (29).
Make sure that the band saw blade is correctly posioned in the channel next to the ON/OFF switch.
3. Close the saw band guard (5) on the upper guide. You can hear the cover click into place.
You can now remove your protecve gloves.
4. Adjust the posion of the band saw blade (refer to the appropriate secon).
Closing the machine
1. Check the posion of the band saw blade (refer to the appropriate secon).
2. Close both housing doors (2).
3. Mount the reinforcer (30).
Storage
NOTICE! Risk of damage! Release the tension of the band saw blade before storage.
Always store the device and accessories in a clean and dry place, protected against dust and out of the reach of children
