2 Product information
The
HPC
400
user
interface
makes
it
easy
to
operate
your
heat
pump
.
Turn
the
selector
to
set
the
required
room
temperature
in
your
home
.
The
thermostatic
valves
at
the
radiators
or
the
room
thermostats
for
the
underfloor
heating
system
also
control
the
room
temperature.
If
a
room
temperature·dependent
controller
is
present
in
the
reference
room.
the
thermostatic
valves
in
this
room
must
be
replaced
by
throttle
valves
.
The
optimised
way
in
which
they
work
allows
the
system
to
be
operated
in
an
energy·efficient
manner.
This
method
of
controlling
the
heating
or
cooling
system
optimises
comfort
whilst
minimising
energy
consumption.
DHW
heating
can
be
adjusted
conveniently
and
controlled
efficiently
.
2.1
Range
of
functions
The
functional
scope
and
thus
the
menu
structure
of
the
user
interface
are
determined
by
the
structure
of
the
system
:
Settings
for
a
variety
of
heating/cooling
circuits
are
only
available
if
two
or
more
heating/cooling
circuits
are
installed
.
Information
about
solar
systems
is
only
displayed
if a
solar
system
is
installed.
Certain
menu
items
are
specific
to
certain
countries
and
are
only
displayed
if
the
country
in
which
the
heat
pump
is
installed
has
been
set
accordingly
on
the
user
interface
.
Your
attention
is
drawn
to
the
importance
of
the
system
structure
in
the
relevant
places.
The
setting
ranges
and
basic
settings
are
determined
by
the
local
system
conditions
and
may
deviate
from
the
information
provided
in
these
instructions.
Consult
your
contractor
if
you
have
further
questions
.
2.2 Functi
on
as
controller
The
user
interface
can
control
up
to
a
maximum
offour
heating/
cooling
circuits
.
For
each
heating
circuit.
either
weather
-
compensated
control
or
weather-compensated
control
with
room
temperature
influence
can
be
set
on
the
user
interface
.
The
main
control
modes
for
the
heating
system
are
as
follows
:
Weather-compensated:
-
The
room
temperature
is
controlled
based
on
the
outside
temperature
-
The
user
interface
sets
the
flow
temperature
in
accordance
with
a
simplified
or
optimised
heating
curve
.
Weather

oom
temperature:

-
The
room
temperature
is
controlled
based
on
the
outside
temperature
and
the
measured
room
temperature.
The
remote
control
influences
the
flow
temperature
based

measured

room

user
interface
sets
the
flow
temperature
in
accordance
with
a si
mplified
or
optimised
heating
curve.
Rule
of
thumb
for
weather-compensated
control
with
influence
of
room
temperature
:
the
throttle
valves
in
the
reference
room
(the
room
in
which
a
remote
control
is
installed)
must
be
fully
open!
The
HMC300
user
interface
is
installed
in
the
appliance
and
cannot
be
used
as
remote
control
.
Ask
your
contractor
for
availab
le
remote
controls.

Operation
after power failure
In
the
event
of
a
power
failure.
or
periods
with
disconnected
heat
source
.
no
settings
are
l
ost.
The
control
unit
starts
again
when
the
power
returns
.
It
may
be
necessary
to
redo
the
settings
for
the
time
and
date.
No
other
settings
are
necessary
.
