What to do if Bosch Battery Charger has no back-up power when mains is connected?
    • S
      Sandra SandovalAug 8, 2025
If your Bosch Battery Charger shows no back-up power when the mains is connected (Battery status and Output status LED is yellow), the fuse F8 might be broken due to a reversed battery connection while the battery relay was already switched on. Disconnect both the battery and the mains power from the battery charger. Then, check and replace fuse F8, along with the Main and Auxiliary fuses.

If your Bosch Battery Charger doesn't start when connected to the mains and the LEDs are off, it could be due to a broken mains fuse. Check and replace fuse F1. Alternatively, the load on the battery charger outputs might be too high (over 12 A). In that case, disconnect the load on the main and auxiliary outputs until it's below 12 A.

If your Bosch Battery Charger has no backup power on one or more outputs (main or auxiliary status LED is yellow), one or more main or auxiliary output fuses might be broken. Check the voltage of the main and auxiliary outputs; the measured voltage should match the battery terminal voltage. Replace the blown fuse.

What to do if my Bosch PRS-48CH12 doesn't start charging?
    • R
      Roberto StrongAug 27, 2025
If your Bosch Battery Charger doesn't start charging when switched on, and the battery relay isn't activated (Battery status LED is yellow), the battery voltage may be outside the acceptable range. For PLN-24CH12, the voltage should be between 14 V and 30 V, and for PRS-48CH12, it should be between 40 V and 60 V. Check the voltage on the battery terminal and fix the problem if the battery voltage is not within the specified values.
