Total purge volume
The total purge volume is composed of the number of motors within the purg‐
ing cycle and the used tube length.
Example: 2 MAD130 motors with 20 meters connection hose.

Minimum purge duration and mini‐
mum flow
Minimum flow and minimum purge duration can be set at the control device
of motor purging, if the total purge volume has been determined.
The purging power of the control device of Bartec is preset and is 68 l/min.
In any case, it is possible to limit the waiting time during acceleration up to
the operational state of the system, e.g. the minimum purging duration can be
set to 60 seconds and the minimum flow can be accordingly increased. How‐
ever, observe the performance of the purge device. If the minimum flow can‐
not be increased accordingly, inevitably increase the minimum purgimg dura‐
tion. Please refer to the following examples:
