Increase availability with regular preventive maintenance measures. Notice
the information in the maintenance schedule of the machine manufacturer
and the following details regarding maintenance measures and intervals for
the motor.
Over pressure encapsulated device!
Danger of explosion and electrocution by live
parts of more than 50 V!
● Basically, any work on live parts is forbidden.
● Before starting work that has to be carried out, observe the important
safety regulations according to DIN VDE 530, such as releasing the
power; securing against restarting; ensuring that the system is not under
power; grounding and short-circuiting; and covering or fencing off neigh‐
boring parts that are under power.
● Ensure that the measures mentioned above cannot be repealed before
the work is completed.

Check the coolant system for
proper functioning.
According to the specifications in the machine
maintenance plan, but at least every 1000 ope‐

Only applicable to MAD motors:
Check the functioning of the fan
and the air circulation.

maintenance plan, but at least every 1000 ope‐
rating hours.
Check the mechanical and elec‐
trical connections.
According to the specifications in the machine
maintenance plan, but at least every 1000 ope‐
rating hours.
Check the air hoses for motor
scavenging device for proper
seat and tightness.
According to the specifications in the machine
maintenance plan, but at least every 1000 ope‐
rating hours.
Note: An error message of the control device re‐
garding pressure loss in the over pressure encap‐
sulation can be a sign of deterioration of the radial
shaft sealing ring on the motor.
Check the machine for smooth
running, vibrations and bearing
noise.
According to the specifications in the machine
maintenance plan, but at least every 1000 ope‐
rating hours.
Remove dust, chips and other
dirt from the motor housing,
cooling fins and the connections.
According to the guidelines in the machine main‐
tenance plan or according to the pollution severty,
at least every 1,000 operating hours.
