Tokeepthesoleplatesmooth,youshouldavoid
hardcontactwithmetalobjects.Neverusea
scouringpad,orchemicalstocleanthesoleplate.
Neverdecalcifythetankortreatitwithdetergents
orsolvents:otherwisetheironwilldripwater
whilststeaming!
Steamproductionconsumesthemostenergy.To
helpminimisetheenergyused,followtheadvice
below:
• Startbyironingthefabricsthatrequire
thelowestironingtemperature.Checkthe
recommendedironingtemperatureinthelabel
onthegarment.
• Regulatethesteamaccordingtotheselected
ironingtemperature,followingtheinstructions
inthismanual.
• Onlyusesteamifnecessary.Ifpossible,use
thesprayfunctioninstead.
• TrytoIronthefabricswhiletheyarestilldamp
andreducethesteamsetting.Steamwillbe
generatedfromthefabricsratherthantheiron.
Ifyoutumbledryyourfabricsbeforeironing
them,setthetumbledrieronthe‘irondry’
programme.
• Ifthefabricsaredampenough,turnoffthe
steamregulatorcompletely.
• Standtheironuprightduringpauses.Resting
ithorizontallywiththesteamregulatoron
generateswastedsteam.
